What Is the Araba Heritage Series?
The Araba Heritage Series is a culturally rich children's book series that sits at the intersection of storytelling, African heritage education, social-emotional learning (SEL), and hands-on creative activity kits.
Instead of children only reading about values, they experience them — through story, Adinkra symbol, and the creation of their own Heritage Bracelet. Follow young Araba and her grandmother as they explore meaningful symbols, family traditions, and lessons that shape character and identity.
Rooted in the rich cultural heritage of Ghana and inspired by traditional African family storytelling, the series teaches six universal life values — Strength, Wisdom, Courage, Leadership, Unity, and Gratitude — one book at a time.
"Children learn best when they don't just read lessons — they live them."

Not Just a Children's Book. A Complete Learning Experience.
The Araba Heritage Series — Foundation Values
Each book in the Araba Heritage Series focuses on one guiding principle — together forming a complete foundation for character development, cultural identity, and confidence.
Book 1 — Araba and the Symbols of Strength. Inner strength helps children face challenges with courage and confidence.
Book 3 — Finding bravery within, even when things feel overwhelming or uncertain.
Book 4 — Inspiring others through example, purpose, and service to community.
Book 5 — The power of togetherness, family bonds, and community support.
Book 6 — Appreciating who we are, where we come from, and the gifts we carry.
A Journey of Courage, Heritage & Learning
Each symbol in Araba's story carries centuries of wisdom from the Akan people of Ghana. These are the four symbols woven into Araba and the Symbols of Strength.
"Go back and fetch it"
The Sankofa bird looks back while moving forward — reminding us that wisdom from our past guides our future. Knowing where you come from gives you the strength to know where you are going.
Ram's horns symbol
The ram fights with all its might yet bows its head with humility. Dwennimmen teaches that true strength is never arrogance — the strongest among us serve with grace and bow with dignity.
The twisting symbol
Life's path is never straight. Nkyinkyim honours the ability to twist, turn and adapt — finding strength in flexibility and courage in change. Those who adapt can overcome any obstacle.
The crossed swords
The crossed swords of the Akofena represent the courage to defend what is right and the authority that comes from bravery. It teaches children that standing up for others is one of life's greatest acts of strength.
Stories become unforgettable when children experience them with their hands.
The Araba Heritage Series goes beyond the page. Each book is paired with a matching Heritage Bracelet Kit — everything a child needs to create their own Adinkra-inspired bracelet. When the story ends, the lesson continues.
Each bracelet is a symbol — a wearable reminder that the child has learned something meaningful about who they are and who they are becoming.
